Bookdelver — Privacy Policy

Effective 24 October 2026

Bookdelver is a dungeon crawler for iPhone, iPad and Android, played alone or passed around one device, published by Side Questered LLC. It collects nothing about you. There is no account, and the game sends nothing about you to us or to anyone else. Everything it keeps stays on your device, and anything that leaves it is something you chose to send yourself.

Which versions this covers. All of them: the version in the stores and the test versions (TestFlight, and Google Play's testing tracks).

What stays on your device

• Your game: your characters, the dive in progress, your cards and collection, and your settings, in storage private to the app.
• A diagnostic log: a record of the screens you visited, the fights you played and any errors, kept on the device so that a problem report can show what went wrong. It is never sent anywhere unless you send it in a report, as described below.

Bookdelver has no server, and it sends nothing about you to ours or to anyone else's. Its one connection: before a daily dungeon, the app asks the App Store or Google Play which version of Bookdelver is current, and sends nothing about the player. Like any app's data, the game's may be included in your device's own backups (iCloud, or your Google account's backup), which are between you and Apple or Google.

What you can choose to send

Three things can leave the game, and only when you ask. Each one goes through your device's own share sheet (or your clipboard), to wherever you pick, such as your email or your files. Nothing is sent automatically.

• A backup of your save, as text, so that you can keep it or move it to another device.
• Codes. A dungeon's share code, and the codes for a hero or a scenario, are short pieces of text (a scenario can also be shown as a QR code) that you copy or share yourself. A code describes the dungeon, hero or scenario, with the names you gave it, and nothing else about you or your device.
• A problem report, from Report a problem. It is a file containing what you write; the app's version; your device's model, system version, screen size and language, and the game's settings; the dive in progress and the last fight, so that the problem can be played again; and the diagnostic log. Your save is included only if you tick Include my save. A report about a scenario also carries that scenario's code.

If you choose to send a problem report or a backup to us by email, we use it only to fix the problem, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone else.

Purchases

Anything bought in Bookdelver is bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which handle the payment under their own terms. We never receive your card or other payment details.

What the app does not do

• No account, and no sign-in.
• No analytics and no crash-reporting service.
• No advertising, no advertising identifier and no tracking.
• No third-party SDKs that collect data, and no data brokers.
• Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with any other company.

Removing your data

Uninstalling Bookdelver removes everything it stored, your saves included, so export a backup first if you want to keep them. We hold nothing about you to delete. If you have emailed us a report or a backup and want it deleted, write to the address below.

Children

Bookdelver is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. The current version is always the one at this address.
