Every dungeon is a book
Every dungeon is a book. Open one, lead up to three heroes down through its chapters, and fight whatever waits inside, turn by turn, on a torchlit 3D hex board.
Bookdelver is a forgiving roguelike dungeon crawler on 5E compatible rules. Make a character from twelve classes and ten species, roll or arrange their ability scores, and take them diving. They keep every level they earn, alive or not.
A dive
- Choose a book from the shelves: classic fantasy, folklore or horror, each with monsters of its own.
- Walk its rooms, search the walls for secret doors, and sneak past what you can.
- Fight on the board: attacks, spells, conditions and cover, with every roll of the dice shown.
- Turn the page to go deeper, or close the book and carry what you found home.
Cards you equip
Cards are pieces of a build: feats, skills, tricks and spell riders. Find them in the dungeon, level them with the pages you win, and swap them between fights.
A book has a code
Every book comes from a short code. Share it, and a friend walks the same map you did. New daily books arrive every day: the daily, and the harder nightmare.
Your own fights
Write a combat scenario of your own: the room, the monsters, the words read aloud. Share it as a code or a QR code.
Play your way
